And so it begins- I have read others blogs- and have thought about starting my own and finally I have done it!

I am a sociology major and am most interested in studying the affects of sentencing practices on the individuals and communities. This would include the effects of disenfranchisement laws (one of my main interests), sentencing guidelines and the problems with them, rehabilitation with in the penal system and reintegration into society after incarceration...

I'm not sure how I will incorporate all my interests in this blog but I'm sure I will come up with something-
